At Calista Salon, the opportunities are limitless. The owners pride themselves on always keeping one step ahead. Their main focus is to keep their staff-motivated through constant education, goal setting and a team focused environment. There are no boundaries!

Calista Salon has a program that guarantees success. You are hired into the program as an Associate. You will participate in a bi-weekly training curriculum which enables you to move up at your own pace. In as little as six months you can test into an Associate Tech position in which you have your own schedule of clients each day. You then continue to train and pass certifications which allow you to perform other advanced services on the clients. This along with many of our other programs are very unique to this Industry. In other departments of the salon, we have specific training to enable spa staff and front staff to work with clients right away. Customer Service Staff

• greet all clients that enter salon
• ensure that their visit goes as planned
• involved in customer follow up
• help to recruit new clients
• oversees all bookings
• acts as our salon's hostess
• are the heart beat of our business, and they wear many hats

Hair Stylist - 3rd Level

• Usually has at least 5 years experience
• travel internationally for education
• educate for top industry companies
• specialize in coloring, cutting, and perming hair
• possess excellent sales and "People" skills
• always booked full with clients everyday and have a waiting list
• performs demonstrations to up and coming successful stylist
• work directly with an associate everyday teaching them their trade
• involved in photo shoots

Hair Stylist - 2nd Level

• Usually has at least 3 years experience
• in constant training seminars nationally getting further certification
• improving on sales skills as well as "people" skills
• involved in coloring, cutting and perming hair
• always booked full everyday with clients
• are welcomed and taught to pursue whatever they feel is of interest to them to further their career

Hair Stylist - 1st Level

• completed all certifications of the training program necessary to work on clients at Calista
• in constant training programs nationally getting further education
• improving on sales skills as well as "People" skills
• involved in coloring, cutting and perming hair
• always booked full everyday with clients
• are welcomed and taught to pursue whatever they feel is of interest to them to further their career
  

Associates and Associates Techs

• must be a student in beauty school or licensed
• attend salon classes to pass certification in consultation, hair anaylization, sales and retail, haircutting, hairstyling, hair coloring, hair retexturing, basic make-up
• works and learns each day at work
• shampoos, applies colors and perms, prepares clients for stylists, keeps salon neat and clean
  is responsible for working side by side with the stylist to learn their trade
• will take any where from 1 to 2 years if you are coming straight from cosmetology school

Make-up Artists and Skin and Body Care Specialist

• performs facials, waxing, massages, and all skin treatments
• does make-up applications and lessons for clients (spends Saturdays with Brides, which is always a fun day)
• does make-up for hair shows and photo shoots
• travels nationally to seminars for further certification
• creates a calm, relaxing environment for all their clients
• has excellent sales and "People" skills
• involved in all the newest trends and techniques (currently making custom lipsticks for clients right at the salon)
• must have an esthetician license or a cosmetology license (also there are separate licensing for Certified Massage Therapist)
• esthetician school takes approximately 4 months to complete, and you must take a state board exam to receive your license
  

Nail Care Specialist

• performs manicures, pedicures, hand treatments, as well as artificial nails
• can be involved in nail art and competitions
• booked full of clients everyday
• have excellent sales and "People" skills
• attend seminars on newest and latest techniques
• must have nail technician or cosmetology license
• you must attend nail technician school for approximately 3 months and pass a state board exam to get licensed
